Meet the Staff

Tawni Weaver, Spa Founder and Director

The perfect blend of Madison Avenue marketing guru and science geek, Weaver is passionate about providing the very latest technology to her clients—and she knows just how to create the buzz around Renu’s exciting new treatments. Weaver earned a B.S. focused in Anatomy and Physiology with additional training in chemistry, physics and drug physiology. She is also a NCLE certified Medical Aesthetic Laser Operator and BLS Laser Safety Officer. Trained internationally as a Botox and dermal filler injector, Weaver is Mesotherapy-certified by the American College of Mesotherapy and Aesthetic Medicine. Mesotherapy involves injecting the skin with natural extracts, homeopathic agents, pharmaceuticals and vitamins to treat cellulite and fat deposits.

Her marketing expertise was honed through years of experience with the pharmaceutical industry, then later as Director of Marketing for a New York City consulting firm that focused on environmental products. She founded Renu Medispa in 2004 and moved to the spa’s current Eagle location in 2006.

Tamara Simon, M.D. MHP, Medical Director

Dr. Simon, a board-certified surgeon and cosmetic gynecologist who operates one of the largest age-management practices in the Northwest, is passionate about providing her clients with the gold-standard of medispa care. Dr. Simon attended Eastern Virginia Medical School and also holds a Masters of Public Health degree from the University of California at Berkeley. She is certified by the American Academy of Cosmetic Gynecologists. She focuses solely gynecological and cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Simon has worked with some of the world’s most renowned age management and hormone experts. She also specializes in minimally invasive surgery including Smartlipo, a laser contouring treatment, and Novasure endometrial ablation, a treatment for dysfunctional uterine bleeding.

Renu Medispa Staff

Renu demonstrates our commitment to client care by ensuring that our expert staff members are skilled in the latest techniques and procedures. All aestheticians at Renu are required to complete a laser training program.

Hillary Bonine, Assistant Manager
With a background in MAC cosmetics, Bonine is a highly sought after makeup artist with extensive aesthetic training and expertise in photography and print makeup.

Sara Gowens, Lead Aesthetician
An experienced aesthetician, Sara trained in Seattle and is a graduate of the International School of Aesthetics. She is an expert in 52 types of facial massage.

Brittney Barney, Aesthetician
A master aesthetician (requires 600 hours of additional training), Britney is dual licensed as a massage therapist and trained in Hawaii on lomi lomi massage treatments. She has several years of experience in a clinical dermatology setting.

Catherine Price, Aesthetician
A graduate of Bon Losee Academy of Utah as a master esthetician, Cathryn has experience in both the spa and medispa settings. She has been workingin the industry with an emphasis on Antiaging for over 5 years. 

TaMelle Karlbom, Wellness Counselor
Renu Medispa’s wellness counselor is a certified trainer who ran front operations of a major gym for six years. She is a national trainer for the Ideal Protein program, a European medical weight loss program offered exclusively at Renu.
