RENU MEDISPA'S OWNER TAWNI WEAVER IS ANNOUNCED AS FINALIST FOR THE BUSINESS WOMAN OF THE YEAR - UP AND COMING.

(Eagle, Idaho, January 8, 2008) - The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Boise Area and Southern Idaho Chapter has announced the nomination of Tawni Weaver of Renu Medispa for the 2008 Business Woman of the Year - Up and Coming Award.  The event, presented by NAWBO, will  take place at the Grove Hotel in downtown Boise, January 12, 2008. The award is designed to recognize women business owners who have the ability to exemplify excellence in business accomplishments through employee development, achievement, community leadership, and advocacy for professional women.

Weaver opened the doors to Renu Medispa in 2004 with a vision of bringing advanced skin care technologies to a dayspa atmosphere in the Treasure Valley. Starting out with a few rooms of rented space, the Medispa has grown into a state of the art facility with 9 full time employees and an on-site physician.

Weaver, one of four finalists selected by an independent jury, is the only business owner in the Eagle, Idaho area to be nominated for this prestigious award.   "Being nominated for this award is an honor," says Weaver. "It is an amazing feeling to be recognized for doing something I love and rewarding to help other women in business and serve my community."

Over the years, Weaver's community involvement has included fund-raising for The Landing Community Center, she sat on the Blue Ribbon Steering Committee to bring a new YMCA to the northwest Treasure Valley, chairing of the YMCA Communication Committee to keep the public informed of the project,  an active supporter of the Eagle Performing Arts Center, participated in The Overcome Project, supported The Epilepsy Foundation, and donated close to $20,000 in services and product in 2007 alone. In November 2007, Tawni was the only Botox injector in the state of Idaho to participate in the Botox for Blindness project. By raising $5000 in one day, she helped 150 people living with white cataracts in underprivileged countries such as Tibet and Tanzania to regain sight.
