How does 1540 Fractional Non-Ablative Skin Resurfacing work?

This laser treatment delivers light in an array of narrow, focused “microbeams” to create columns of coagulation within the skin. These columns initiate a natural healing process that forms new, healthy tissue. This results in improved skin appearance.

 What makes Fractional Non-Ablative treatments different from other skin resurfacing methods?

Some skin resurfacing devices, such as CO2 lasers, rely on removing the epidermis and some of the dermis. While good results are eventually seen, the drawbacks include red and raw skin, downtime, and risk of infection for several weeks after treatment.
